Friends of vs. Spy
In the book Illusions, Tales of a Reluctant Messiah, Richard Bach suggests, and he's not really delving too far into the realms of untrodden philosophy here, that the only two points to existence amount to exploration and entertainment. The spirit, he proposes, lives out life in human, or ant, or god form entirely for the purpose of gaining experience and having fun. Anything a person does beyond survival can be reduced to one of these two points, and since people a: survive for a reason and b: ultimately fail to survive sooner or later, survival can be eliminated as relevant.
Among those who have chosen to stand beside me as true companions in one fashion or another, I have never been able to isolate a single quality which they shared that was universal excluding these two : that they entertain and enlighten me.
Here you will find those things friends of mine have asked me to display. I'm not the sort to leave monuments, as I'm sure my friends will understand, but let these creations at their hands speak for themselves. To my friends, and to the things that they do which make life in general worthy of living.
