A Few Chicago Photos, Mostly of the Chihuly Exhibit.

Last February I and Bridget (my filthy ex-fiancee) took a trip up to Chicago to visit my good friends Finn and Kat. These are a few photos from the expedition, mostly centered around a kick ass Chihuly exhibit which was on display at the botanical gardens there.

Mike and Filthy Ex-Fiancee ride the transit! Chihuly, in case you haven't guessed by now, is a glass artist. These works were supposed to both stand out and blend in to the organic background. A lot of the pictures didn't turn out. Poor lighting and so on. This one, however, really was a good take on what it actually looked like. This is one of the bad takes. This was the center piece of the exhibit, and it was amazing, so we HAD to get a picture, but the photo is a sad sad representative of the reality. The thing was like 10-12 feet tall and simply glowed. It was amazing. I was too big to go down the slide. I make a funny face! HAHAHAHAHAHA, funny!
