The San Diego Comicon is a huge annual fandom convention held each summer. From the geeks to the freaks to the secret masters of fandom, they all flock to San Diego to support their favorite comics, movies and television. What's really enjoyable is that a couple of decades ago this was a handful of local dorks, and now the waves and waves of bizarre humans can shut San Diego DOWN, slowing traffic to a crawl, overbooking hotels, etc.
It was an interesting three days. July, 2004.
